Marine Logistics Group Visit

Leveraging AI Bots

This faculty workshop, presented by Col Andrew Farina, PhD (U.S. Army) provides insight for leveraging AI bots to boost student engagement in the classroom. As artificial intelligence transforms the modern operational environment, instructors must evolve their teaching methods to align with core principles of adult learning theory. Attendees will leave witha practical blueprint for designing and implementing a custom AI bot that supports adult learning.

NWPAC 26 in Japan

NPS executed Northwest Pacific (NWPAC) wargames in 2024 and 2025 as part of the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) directed, Title 10 wargames. NWPAC explores opportunities to strengthen the U.S.-Japan alliance, enhance bilateral coordination mechanisms, and inform alliance naval campaign priorities. NPS is in the final planning stages for NWPAC26, which will provide data-driven results to meet Commander Pacific Fleet wargame objectives.

Maritime Theater Missile Defense (MTMD)

MTMD Forum is a group 12 nations, mostly NATO, formed in 1999 to create international cooperation in the area of Maritime Theater Missile Defense. Although initially set up for maritime ballistic missile defense, the Forum has evolved to consider cooperation in other mission areas, such as land attack and ship self-defense. The Forum has established focused working groups to address specific technical areas e.g., radars, BMC4I to identify common needs, harmonize future operational requirements and nurture possible collaborative development programs.

APEX - CHDS Annual Workshop

JIFX events provide an opportunity for technology developers to interact with operational personnel to determine how their technology and ideas may support or enhance USG/DoD capabilities. The environment facilitates a collaborative learning environment between government, academia, industry, and NGOs to promote the identification and assessment of emerging and maturing technologies. These events enable rapid iteration on nascent technologies with the direct input of end users. Submissions that relate to any of the RFI areas of interest (including areas not listed below) will be considered for acceptance.

DV Visit - Stan Whittingham

His talk, “The First Half Century of Lithium Batteries and the Challenges Faced in Building an American Industry,” explores the evolution of this transformative technology and the future of U.S. leadership in energy storage.
