The Plus plan is ideal for smaller teams. It costs $15 per month total ($12.50/month billed yearly) for up to 3 members — a flat rate, not a per-user price. The account creator is an Owner by default, you can invite two more members, and client users are free and unlimited.

The Pro plan costs $11 per user per month ($10/month billed yearly). It includes everything in Plus with no member limit — each member is a paid seat — and adds time reports, expense tracking, and 100 GB storage (125 GB on yearly billing). Client users remain free and unlimited. If you also need invoicing, budgeting, and workload management, the Pro+ (Get Paid) plan is the next step.

Pro+ (Get Paid) is our top plan. It costs $17 per user per month ($15/month billed yearly) and adds invoicing, estimates, project budgeting, budget vs. cost tracking, project profitability, workload management, and capacity planning on top of everything in Pro.

There are five roles in ActiveCollab: Owner, Member, Member+, Client+, and Client. All of them take up a paid seat except Client, which is free — you can have as many Clients as you wish on any plan, at no cost. How many paid seats you can have depends on the plan: Plus is limited to 3, while Pro and Pro+ (Get Paid) are unlimited.

It means you can invite as many people as you wish with just a Client role for free. Clients do not affect the number of chargeable users and do not take up a seat in plans with limited seats.

Yearly billing lowers the price of every plan: Plus drops from $15 to $12.50 per month, Pro from $11 to $10 per user, and Pro+ from $17 to $15 per user. You pay for the period of your choice ahead — a monthly invoice on the monthly plan, or one invoice for the year ahead on the yearly plan.

ActiveCollab is subscription-based, and as long as you are subscribed to ActiveCollab, the payments will go through automatically.

That depends on whether you're buying ActiveCollab as a company or an individual. Enter your VAT ID number during checkout to deduct the VAT from your order as an EU company. However, if you're buying ActiveCollab as an EU citizen, you'll be required to pay the VAT.

You can cancel at any time. Even when you cancel, you can still use your account until the next billing period. Once the next billing period comes, your account will be deactivated.

No. ActiveCollab has a no-refund policy. You pay for the period ahead, whether it is monthly or yearly. Once you cancel, your account will remain active until the period that you paid for expires, and you can freely use ActiveCollab until then.

Cancelling does not cut your access short — your account stays fully usable until the end of the period you have already paid for. An export of everything stored in your account is emailed to the account creator, and your data is permanently removed once the account is deactivated.

ActiveCollab is designed to be a hub for your organization. Your entire company can make Real Work happen in the same workspace. You can start small with a single team, but as you grow more familiar, you can spread ActiveCollab through the rest of the organization. You can add as many people as you want, assign them to a team (or teams), and set their permission levels.
