Billionaires shouldn't exist.
Latest proof: https://www.blogto.com/city/2026/07/ontario-billionaire-tobias-lutke-under-fire/
The nazi sympathizer (walk with a nazi and you're also a nazi) Tobi Lutke (Shopify) think poor people shouldn't vote, and the weight of your vote should be bigger according to your level of income.
The Onion couldn't make this up.
Home automation is a universe on its own. So many vendors, every single one using the Tuya platform. Some device implementations are just terrible.
I had to create an API to abstract a bunch of shitty stuff, including exposing stuff to Alexa.
Fun project, but having to deal with this is just stupid.
Hall of Shame:
- PPA Connect: now I can require a PIN when opening the garage door
- Intelbras: you suck for not exposing WT7 properly, so I had to do some reverse engineering on the API calls. Need to be on local network, but got it working.

I'm at the end of "Reporting Grain Production to the Central Committee" phase (AI becomes KPIs).
This article is pure gold. Read it. Then read it again.
Your children can introduce you to some nice music if you're open to it (and car rides become a way to share interests with them, talking about concerts, bands they may like, etc).
Djo's last album is very nice (I've listened to the previous one but found it to be too electronic for my taste). Saw him at Lolapalooza and the show was quite nice!
They also got me into Wallows, which I like a lot. And they made me rediscover The Strokes (I never actually listened to their albums, just the main hits).
