I suppose since this is technically a new instance (even though it's just moving off alpha to the main one) I should post a new introduction.
Hi there. You've Reached the profile of Dave. I'm a nerd in the United States mid-west who tends to post inane, but sometimes funny things. Often times I'll post about games I'm playing, or how I lack motivation to work. I try to keep things light-hearted, the world is dreary enough as it is.
I'm a parent of two, husband of one.
I just watched the first episode of the new season of Ted Lasso. It was interesting seeing the characters in the US, and I'm glad they haven't lost their flow between them. But I'm looking forward to them getting back to Richmond for the real fun to begin.
Probably my favorite thing I got at GenCon. Some guy 3D printed a few of these and he gave me one after I complimented his.

Well GenCon was exciting today. We had a tornado warning and rain was coming down in the game hall. I wonder how they'll top this spectacle next year!
I picked up a copy of *The Dragonlance Chronicles * today and one of the authors was there signing it, which I thought was awesome.
Day two in a row of almost 16k steps. At least I'm walking off any and all junk I'm eating at GenCon.
Me yesterday : I'm going to be more selective about the games I buy at GenCon this year.

Well Fediverse, GenCon is upon us. I'm done working for the week, and tomorrow I will be heading GenCon ways.

I've been meaning to watch Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power for a while and have decided to give it a try. I love the books and movies, and this just feels... Empty. I just found myself using it as background noise instead of giving a crap as to what was happening. This is fan fiction at best.
I'm sorry, this is one middle earth adventure I won't be keeping up with.
I dropped my wife's car off at the shop this morning and am waiting for a ride home. They have local news on, and there have been more commercials than actual news.
And 95% of the commercials are ads for our state's governor race.

Star Trek Strange New Worlds Season 4 Episode 1 Review
I'm so glad this show is back!
Seeing the crew get sent back in time and encountering dinosaurs. Seeing Lt Sing punch one in the face was great.
Also knowing the Enterprise crew was responsible for the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs is cool too!
I'm watching the new He-Man movie. The battle in the beginning is like watching all my childhood toys come alive.
Well, after a day with new glasses it feels like the world is in HD again. Its crazy, because I thought I was doing well with my old glasses. And I've already gotten used to the progressive lenses, which is a huge bonus.
Well, my new glasses are apparently ready for pickup. Grabbing them tomorrow, we'll see how that goes.
YESSS! Love that game.
