Would love to try ghostty for blit, but there doesn't seem to be any Windows support. @mitchellh is it on the roadmap? Would you be open to contribs?

Thinking about releasing a URL preview API on cc.me, screenshotting a headless Chromium.
Cached, fairly low-res (think pcarrier.com thumbnails), but enough to embed previews wherever you want.
Afraid this might get abused. Proof of work feels wasteful, CAPTCHAs are a plague, nominal fees involve a lot of setup; I'd like automated refreshes, so any blockers in the request path would hurt.
Any suggestions?

NFC key fobs are cheap and can trivially route to any URL on mobile tap.

What should come next?

Couldn't resist building a landing page for my fav coffee shop. If they don't like it, it'll be offline tomorrow… Prototyping hono.coffee helped me find gaps in found.as (in other words, you too can make something like it in minutes now).

I don't know if this qualifies as #smallweb?

Now that found.as offers to bring your own domain, and given it offers to transition through custom HTML and redirects in place of its default "link tree" toward your own website, it feels unapologetically like an #IndieWeb foot-in-the-door. Closing that gap took surprisingly little effort on top of the xmit infra it's operating on. So happy with the last round of improvements.

Never been easier to build.
The problem I face is capturing attention, as I think many do.

I really, really don't want to advertise and I'm not marketing inclined. The free stuff I build isn't monetized in any way, respects everybody and their privacy to the best of my abilities. No road to revenue besides donations which I'm only hoping would follow costs, maybe cover a bit of my time.

Most of it remains barely used. Projects I'm convinced could benefit many in their own way.

No stress, I build and maintain for fun and for the few that do use them, myself included. But it would be nice for those efforts to be more beneficial to my communities.

What would you do?

As WhatsApp switches to usernames, I don't know that I'll have any other means of reaching people I meet in France and Switzerland moving forward. Even though everybody uses it almost exclusively for real-time communication here already, at least for now we have to exchange phone numbers, so there is a fallback.
