- This is why I'm in favor of open models, and healthy competition with China. Instead of regulatory capture, the market will force every AI company to make AI better, faster, cheaper, and safer. The invisible hand of the market, in this case, is doing exactly what we want itIf ChatGPT Astra really lands next week, I think we're about to cross a line we've been talking about for years. Call it AGI or not, I suspect this will feel essentially AGI for a huge number of real-world tasks. Pretty surreal to watch this happen in real time.
