"But crypto legislation that has been written by the crypto industry to protect and advance the crypto industry...that's just not good crypto legislation."- I visited three 10-20MW sites in Texas this spring, each about 3-5 hours apart. We drove through small towns, thriving with money, activity, and optimism from the data center and energy build out. This was in stark contrast to the dying towns of the South from my childhood. IWith some very minor exceptions, the data center buildout is happening in red states (historically some purple but on a go forward basis, red). - The US Treasury is printing dollars and buying US Treasury bonds from the Japanese. So the Japanese are in effect dumping US Treasuries but the US is managing the dump by printing dollars and absorbing the bonds. It’s clever - it’s also pretty desperate. 🇺🇸🇯🇵
