- OpenAI and five partners have agreed on one format for agent plugins. It packages skills and MCP server settings for Codex, ChatGPT, @cursor_ai, @github Copilot, Kiro and @code. Claude and OpenCode are not on the launch list, so their existing plugin setups remain separate.Build a plugin once and use it across compatible agent clients. - A post from @synthwavedd claims OpenAI will launch Astra next week and calls it the company's largest new pretraining run since GPT-4.5. The account says an internal checkpoint called "mewfour" is the release candidate. OpenAI has not announced Astra or a release date.
- Keras creator @fchollet says AI agents are already neurosymbolic because million-line software harnesses make thousands of calls to neural models. Critics call the harness ordinary software, not symbolic intelligence. Digg's early read leans 59.3% negative across 61 reactions.I would have assumed it was fairly obvious, but in case it's not: a million-line codebase (also known as a "harness"), running at inference time, orchestrating thousands of calls to a neural network for any given task, is the exact definition of a "neurosymbolic architecture"
