my github improvement extension is live in the chrome store! chromewebstore.google.com/detail/jdx-fla… if you're drowning in gh notifications you can't act on because they're draft, failing pr checks, or are assigned to CODEOWNER groups you don't care about, give it a look!

`mise bootstrap` bugs must be >90% specific to casks in homebrew and cask issues still continue to trickle in. no real point here except to say that casks are extremely complicated.

I love homebrew, but frankly you shouldn't use it to install my software anymore. I'm doing a lot of work on my binaries as part of the build process that wouldn't make sense or wouldn't be possible to do in their builds (such as BOLT or the primer in aube). If you use homebrew

mise 2026.8.0 is out with 15% better performance on linux and precompiled ruby binaries are now default! github.com/jdx/mise/relea… if you're not a mise user but still a ruby dev, I would encourage you to see about potentially upstreaming my binaries into your version manager!
