I remember when at bitcoin meetups I used to preach the mantra of "we can adopt competing technologies". That is still very much true, it seems.

Under a couple of weeks ago ZEC tech was getting replicated on BCH. Now maybe the XMR tech too - with quantum protection. BTC is already long surpassed except for public acknowledgement/price. ETH similarly obsoleted (quietly). All just side gigs btw. Dinosaurs, meet meteor.

One of many reasons why we need to re-think wallets from the ground up. It should be very hard to lose funds.

This entropy attack makes a very good case for covenants. - Your Bitcoin sits inside a vault. - Your normal key can initiate a withdrawal. - The withdrawal is publicly visible but delayed (eg: 24-72 hours) - During that delay, a separate recovery key can cancel the withdrawal

This is what passes for a bitcoiner these days? Sad if true.

How to live on a Bitcoin Standard with 12 transactions a year. 1. Move all your money to Bitcoin 2. Spend as you usually do on Visa 3. At the end of the month, convert BTC to USD and pay off the Visa. Not complex. Taxes are simple. Optimal in the long run.
