I believe there needs to be a variety of swift and bold responses to this event that will fall into two categories broadly speaking: The institutional and the symbolic. This is my proposal for symbolic action. Please share this far and wide. God bless.

3 separate bills (spending cuts, tax cuts, debt ceiling) would explicitly identify the elected officials who actually intend to increase spending in the 2026 budget, as they'd have to vote for debt ceiling increase

I support tax cuts — but I won’t vote to raise the debt ceiling by $5 trillion. Republicans can’t claim to be the party of fiscal responsibility while adding the largest debt increase in U.S. history. I won’t own that disaster.
