- Some thoughts on coding models and tools (7/2026) tl;dr: Fable produces the best work but is absurdly expensive; Sol is more price-efficient and fast. The agent apps are pretty much the same now and GUIs > TUIs. MODELS Opus 4.8 ($5 / $25) - Still one of my favorite models.
