How do I create a document online for free?
Open Yandex Documents or Yandex Disk in your browser and click Create in the upper-left corner of the screen. You can store, create, and edit documents for free, without installing any software. To learn more about getting started, see Help.
Can I edit DOCX documents in Yandex Documents?
Yes, Yandex Documents fully supports the DOCX format. If you open a file in the old format (DOC), the system will automatically create a DOCX copy for editing.
How do I invite other users for co-editing?
Open the document, click Share in the upper-right corner of the screen, and select the access level: View or Edit. Then, copy the link and send it to those you want to share the document with. Learn more in Help.
Do I need to download software to use Yandex Documents?
Not at all. Everything works directly in your browser. Just log in to your account and open the file you need. If you'd like, you can download the Yandex Disk app — it can come in handy.
How do I open a document online from my computer?
Go to the web version of Yandex Documents or Yandex Disk, find the file, and click on it. The document will open in a web editor where you can immediately start working. Visit Help to learn more.
Can I use Yandex Documents offline?
Yes, you can keep editing even if your internet is down. All the changes will be synced as soon as the connection is restored. Just don't close the tab while there's a message at the top saying there's no internet connection. Learn more in Help.
How do I export a document as a PDF file?
Open the document, go to File → Download, and select the PDF format.
How secure is my data in Yandex Documents?
Your data is stored in Yandex's own data centers in Russia and transferred between them over secure channels. Yandex Documents meets the requirements of Federal Law 152-FZ and Order No. 21 of the FSTEC of Russia at Security Level 2 (UZ-2). Only you can manage access to your documents and share them for viewing or editing.
How do I log in to my Yandex Documents account?
Open Yandex Documents or Yandex Disk in your browser and log in with your Yandex ID.
Is there a mobile version of Yandex Documents?
Yes, you can access Yandex Documents from your smartphone using a browser or the Yandex Disk app. The app is available both for iOS and for Android.
How many files can I save in Yandex Documents?
The number of files you can save depends solely on how much free space you've got in your Yandex Disk. If you're running out of space, sign up for a Yandex 360 plan to get more.
