A theme changes your whole site. It replaces your entire design, so it's best for new sites. A template adds one layout to your site, and everything else stays as it is. Browse themes or browse templates.

No. Templates are made to drop into the site you already have. Your theme, menus and existing pages stay just as they are, and the template only affects the page you add it to.

The one the template was built for. Elementor templates need Elementor. Divi templates need the Divi theme or the Divi Builder plugin. Gutenberg templates use the block editor that comes with WordPress. Whichever it is, the builder has to be installed and active. An Elementor template won't open in Divi, and a Divi template won't open in Elementor.

We build each version natively inside its builder instead of converting one version into another. That keeps the layout clean, easy to edit and fast to load, but it means a design can be ready for one builder before the others. Every card on this page lists all the builders that template is available for right now.

No. A template comes in as a new layout, and your existing pages are only changed if you choose to apply the template to one of them. As with any change to a live site, it's a good idea to take a backup before you start.

Yes. Templates are designed around Directorist, so your listings, search and categories show up inside the layout once it's on your site. You'll need the Directorist plugin installed and active alongside your page builder.
