Added

07 October 2026
04:27:12 GMT+0000
Added
- The HUD now marks stories syndicated from another site in your network with the syndication icon, on their badges and in the Ranking list.
- Added rolling Last 7 days, Last 30 days and Last 90 days date presets.
Changed
- The Segments listing now shows page views next to engaged time, as the Posts listing does.
- The HUD’s color mode options in the View menu now show each mode as a swatch of its colors, so you can pick the one you can tell apart most easily.
- The metric selector on listing pages now reads “Metric:” instead of “Viewing”.
- Listing rows now highlight on hover, so it’s easier to match a number to its title.
Fixed
- Fixed the totals above listings undercounting recent traffic on short Pulse ranges, which made segments show more than 100% of site.
- Fixed Top Segments reports failing for sites that have no audience segments.
- Fixed the date picker showing the same month twice for a range inside one month.
- Fixed non-post pages showing under a “Posts” breadcrumb; listing columns and the New Posts count now follow the selected page type.
Removed
- Removed the AI Insight card from the Overview page. AI insights are still on the AI Insights page.
06 October 2026
07:48:36 GMT+0000
Added
- Added a setting for admins to choose a default audience segment that all dashboard users see when they log in.
- The site overview API and MCP tool can now be filtered by channel.
Changed
- The posts listing on a campaign page now announces its updates to screen readers.
- The site overview API moved from
/overview/ to /analytics/overview/, and its filters dropped the overview_ prefix (section, author, tag, campaign_group, subdomain).
Fixed
- Fixed an error in Google Search Insights for sites that have no Google Search Console data yet. These sites now show a message saying so.
- Replaced the raw
referrers_domain notice on post listings with a readable message when top referrer badges can’t be loaded.
- Fixed the Pulse chart on low-traffic video pages showing 0 on every axis label.
- Parse.ly MCP tools in Microsoft Copilot Studio now apply filters like metric, dates and referrer instead of ignoring them.
05 October 2026
12:14:23 GMT+0000
Added
- Added Google Search Console data to the Parse.ly MCP server: top Google searches, top Discover and News pages, and the searches that bring readers to an article.
Fixed
- Fixed large tag and section exports with share columns failing to generate.
03 October 2026
04:19:54 GMT+0000

02 October 2026
17:27:24 GMT+0000
Added
- Added site-specific styling for the HUD. Reach out to your Parse.ly relationship or account manager to have the HUD adjusted for your site, for example to make its metric badges smaller or more transparent so they cover less of your headlines.
Fixed
- The dashboard no longer gets stuck on a blank loading screen during a backend outage — it now shows a retry screen that keeps trying automatically.
- Fixed an illegible logo on the “Can’t reach Parse.ly” screen when the dashboard’s theme is set to Auto.

06:10:25 GMT+0000
Added
- Added a resize handle to the Parse.ly HUD’s side panel. Drag it, or focus it and use the arrow keys, to set the panel’s width; double-click it to go back to the default. Your chosen width is remembered.
Changed
- Narrowed the Parse.ly HUD’s side panel so more of your page stays visible beside it.
Fixed
- Fixed the Parse.ly HUD’s side panel reopening on every page load after being closed. It now stays closed as you move between pages, for the rest of the browser session.

Fixed
- Fixed the links to the original article on search results when picking a post for a new headline test.
- Fixed search suggestions on networks without rollup opening a page that said “This view is not available for this account.” They now open on the site each result comes from.
- Restored Parse.ly MCP sign-in for clients that register dynamically (Claude Desktop, Copilot Studio).
- MCP connections stay authenticated longer between sign-ins, so tools that don’t refresh tokens silently disconnect less often.

Added

- The Overlay’s View menu has a Page fit setting (automatic, 100%, 90% or 80%) for how far the page zooms out beside the panel.
Fixed

Added
- Engaged minutes for new and returning visitors can now be picked as the primary metric in the Parse.ly MCP and Sage analytics tools.

14 September 2026
05:40:11 GMT+0000
Added
- Color vision modes are now available in the Heads Up Display. The View menu now offers palettes tuned for red-green, blue-yellow and monochrome color vision, each chosen so that performance levels stay distinguishable. The setting is independent of the light and dark themes, and the existing colors remain the default.
- The Heads Up Display panel can now be docked to the left or right side of the page.
- Usage stats going back to the data retention period are available under the “Usage” tab under the Site Settings cogwheel in the upper right corner of the dashboard. Admins are now able to view usage data, including top users by email address, most visited pages, and top reports run on a monthly basis. This data is also available in Sage.
11 September 2026
09:14:03 GMT+0000
Added
- Added an Export option to the Categories tab under Referrers, which downloads the full referrer breakdown by category as a spreadsheet or CSV.
- Sage app can now answer Parse.ly usage and adoption questions, such as active users, reports run, and API calls per endpoint.
- Sage now answers Parse.ly dashboard-usage and adoption questions, including for a specific past month (e.g. “dashboard usage for February 2026”).
Changed

Fixed
- Author, tag, section, campaign, referrer, and conversion groups beyond the first 100 are now available in filters, reports, and group management. Previously a site with many groups could see a group in its listing but not select it as a filter or edit it.

start/end now query the requested dates instead of today or the real-time window.
- Sage answers questions that name no date range by picking a recent window and saying which one, instead of asking.
- Sage finds topics that only exist as smart tags, and no longer reports them as missing.
- Recirculation rate listings carry the post title, section, author and publish date.
09 September 2026
11:59:23 GMT+0000
Fixed
- Fixed the Channels, Campaigns and Conversions sections on post detail pages showing sitewide totals instead of data for the post being viewed.
- Stopped sending alerts and alert error emails to users who no longer have access to a site.
- Printing a page with a pulse chart no longer cuts the chart off at the right edge.
