Child development is influenced by sociofamilial relationships and socioemotional skills, with the family serving as the primary context of socialization. The objective of this study was to analyze the influence of these factors on child development. This is a descriptive qualitative study conducted through a bibliographic review in the CAPES Journals database, using the descriptors: sociofamilial child development and socioemotional child development. The inclusion criteria comprised full scientific articles published between 2015 and 2025, written in Portuguese, and directly related to the topic. Data were analyzed using Braun and Clarke’s (2006) Thematic Analysis. A total of 57 studies were identified, of which 5 met the eligibility criteria and constituted the final sample. The results showed that the quality of family relationships directly influences children's socioemotional development, highlighting emotional regulation, expression of distress, self-confidence, autonomy, and parental involvement. Secure emotional bonds, positive parenting practices, and family support were identified as protective factors for healthy development, whereas family conflicts, lack of parental involvement, and socioeconomic vulnerabilities may negatively affect children's emotional, behavioral, and social development.
