With Halloween right around the corner, I'm curious how many Friday the 13th fans are checking out the new Crystal Lake series. Are you excited to see the franchise return to television? Do you think a TV series is the right direction for Friday the 13th, or would you rather have another movie? Let's keep the discussion spoiler-free for anyone who hasn't watched it yet!

Did you see it? Did you like it? Did you mind the lack of bigger DCU Connections? Did you like Tom Rhys Harries? Should this film officially be part of DCU continuity? Or is it a one-off?

With the announcement of a poison ivy show I have a question for the class. Which DC show do you think is better the penguin or lantern? Now we’re not talking special effects or money that was spent on the shows or the quality of acting because both shows had great acting I’m talking about the story. Which show did you like for the story? I preferred the penguin lanterns didn’t do it for me. I watched it all the way through, but it wasn’t as good as the penguin was to me I still remember the penguin’s story I’ve already forgotten details of lanterns.

With Halloween just around the corner, I was curious if anyone here is planning to dress up this year. I'm putting together a Casey Jones costume from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, while my son is going as Leonardo. I've been working on getting the different pieces together, including the mask, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it all turns out. Anyone else dressing up this year? Going with a comic book character, movie character, or something completely different? Feel free to share what you're working on!

Hey everyone! I'm starting this thread to share my new homebrew project for the Super Nintendo: BATMAN '89. The idea is to build a game based on Tim Burton's 1989 Batman film, using the sprites and backgrounds from the PC Engine version (Sunsoft) as the graphical base — they fit the SNES really well in terms of style and proportions. On top of that, I'm planning to include the cutscenes from the Amiga version (Ocean), which blend in nicely from an art standpoint. Why Batman '89 on SNES Here's the thing: the first Batman movie never made it to the Super Nintendo. The SNES got: Batman Returns (1992) Batman Forever (1995) Batman & Robin (1997) But Tim Burton's 1989 Bat…

Sad news today as legendary actor Tom Skerritt has passed away at the age of 93. Skerritt had an incredible career, appearing in films like Alien, Top Gun, MASH*, and Steel Magnolias, along with his memorable television role in Picket Fences. For me, I'll always remember him as Captain Dallas in the original Alien. I watched that movie as a kid, and it was one of those films that really sparked my interest in science fiction and horror. It's still one of my favorite movies, and Skerritt was a big part of what made it so memorable. It's sad to see another familiar face from so many great films leave us. RIP Tom Skerritt. What was your favorite Tom Skerritt role?

Hollywood seems determined to keep certain franchises going forever, whether it's through sequels, reboots, or spinoffs. Are there any movie franchises you think should take a break for a few years? Maybe they've run out of good ideas, or maybe you'd just like to see something new for a change. Which franchise would you put on hold, and what would it take to get you excited about it again?

Twirling and slashing through the air, he fought off winged fiends in his pursuit, the jungle canopy growing ever larger as he hurtled toward it. Present day follows Ambrose, an ex-Marine with a past so dark it haunts him at night, creeps through every shadow, and stares back at him in every reflection. He trusts no one—not even his beloved MJ. That mistrust leads him to a seemingly abandoned warehouse, where his deepest fears seem to manifest…

Alien has crossed over with quite a few different franchises over the years, but I'm really hoping this one is good. I've been a lifelong fan of both Alien and the X-Men, so I immediately bought two different covers when I saw it. I always try to grab a Cyclops solo cover when they're available. Anyone else picking this one up? What are you hoping to see from this crossover?
