hi, I'm Pragya 👋

I live in Dubai. I don't have a software background. I just really like building things for people I care about.

if you're here from OSV or Tarabot -- I left you something. See: github.com/pragueyerrr/unthought

It probably started in 5th grade when I accidentally became my school's sudoku champion and begged my parents to let me take abacus lessons. Something about that kind of problem — the kind with a clear logic, a satisfying solution, a feeling of click when it works — lit up my brain in a way I didn't have words for yet.

I didn't have the background or the self-awareness then to know: maybe I was always supposed to be a builder.

In 2021, I wasn't sure I was creative. So I decided to find out. I made 100 things — a robot that wheeled around by itself, clay sculptures, food I'd never cooked before, a cover of a song, an apple pie from scratch. All of it documented publicly on Twitter, all of it terrifying, all of it mine.

By the end I believed I could figure out anything if I was stubborn enough.

Then in 2022 I found a Python library called prettymaps that generates beautiful illustrated maps from real city data. I had no idea what I was doing. I spent 7 hours across 2 days completely, stubbornly, embarrassingly determined to make it work. I documented all of it publicly.

Tech people showed up in my replies and said: "this is just what software engineering is." Someone offered me a Junior Developer position if I ever found myself in the US. I sold a few maps for $75–100 each.

I didn't take the job. But I didn't forget what it felt like to be that stubborn and have it work. Those neurons — the puzzle ones, the abacus ones, the sudoku ones — they were firing the whole time.

Fast forward to now. I discovered Claude Code — an AI tool that lets you build software through conversation. The puzzle feeling came back immediately.

So I started building.

what's here

Four job boards, one for each friend.

Aman is a creative. Sanobar is in marketing. Nandita (NanBan) is a PM. Ankit makes videos. They're all job hunting in Dubai, and Dubai's job market is scattered across a dozen sites with no great way to track anything.

So I built each of them a personal board — it scrapes relevant roles every few hours, lets them score jobs against their CV, and generates tailored resumes and cover letters with one click. Each board is tuned to their field, their colors, their name in the header.

It started as one project for one friend and became four. That felt right.

Threadthulhu

Visakan Veerasamy (@visakanv) has been thinking in public on Twitter for 15 years. 206,000 tweets.

Venkatesh Rao once called it a "threadthulhu" — a Lovecraftian hyperobject of ideas too tangled, too densely interlinked, too promiscuously forking to ever be fully tamed. He said it would take AGI to properly render it.

I'm building it a map.

The geography is real: each tweet gets embedded into a vector, dimensionality-reduced into 2D space via UMAP, and clustered into neighborhoods via HDBSCAN. The shape of the map is the shape of his thinking. You explore it like a city — fog of war and all — threads revealing themselves as you walk through them.

It's not done. Maps are honest about incompleteness.

how I build

Almost entirely with Claude Code.

I think of it like a director and an engineer. I come with the vision, the taste, the stubbornness about details. Claude Code handles the implementation.

I care a lot about how things feel. That part turns out to matter quite a bit.

Dubai-based. Building things for people I know. heart too fat not to.
