After a year that ranged from decent to disastrous, it’s tough to argue that “fatigue” isn’t a factor, but true believers are holding firm that next year will change everything. Spider-Man is going back to the streets, Supergirl is poised to build on Superman’s momentum, and all eyes are on Avengers: Doomsday – the ultimate test of Marvel’s remaining muscle. The stage is set for box office redemption and a new path forward for superhero cinema. It’s the end of the post-post-pandemic era, a once-in-a-generation chance for a fresh start. If they mess this up, the genre might be truly cooked; next year could be the last chance to save comic book movies and shows from their flop era. That’s why we’re looking forward to 2026, the make-or-break year for superhero media. One caveat before we begin: All dates are subject to change. Schedules can and likely will slip, but as far as we know, this is what’s on deck for 2026. So, let’s start with the main event…

שנה - In today's Daily Fix:James Gunn recently admitted he wanted to add a Deadpool cameo in Peacemaker's Season 2 finale. Ryan Reynolds was apparently on board, but Gunn knew getting the okay from both Warner Bros. and Marvel/Disney would've been too big of a legal hurdle. Gunn has big plans for Peacemaker outside of his HBO show, with the DCU expanding next year with Supergirl, the Lanterns series, and the Clayface film. In other news, Warner Bros. has set a date for the Minecraft movie sequel. It's expected in July of 2027, and director Jared Hess is expected to return along with most of the cast. And finally, join the stars of the live-action How to Train Your Dragon as they explore the new Isle of Berk in Universal Epic Universe at Universal Orlando Resort.Presented by Universal Orlando Resort and its new theme park, Universal Epic Universe.

שנה, 4 חודשים - On today's Daily Fix:It's an all-DC movies day, as the Snyderverse subreddit responds to a fan campaign to review bomb the new Superman movie. Many DCEU fans are still feeling burnt by Warner Bros. hitting reset on their DC movies slate with James Gunn co-shepherding the new DC movie universe. A reddit user on the Snyderverse subreddit posted a 'call to arms' for Snyderverse fans to review bomb Gunn's Superman, and post spoilers of the movie all over the internet. James Gunn has brushed off the 'threat' and the Snyderverse subreddit mods subsequently removed the post and issued an apology. In related news, Superman is not James Gunn's only DC problem, as the filmmaker recognizes that Batman is not only WB's biggest DC property, but potentially the most problematic, with at least two versions of Batman in two separate movie universes hitting theaters around the same time. And finally, the standalone horror film, 'Clayface,' based on the DC Comics character, has found its star.
