If you believe content on ISBNdb infringes your copyright or is otherwise illegal, you can report it here. We review every report and act on valid ones without undue delay.
How to submit a report
Send your report to [email protected]. To allow us to process it, please include:
- Your full name and email address.
- The exact URL(s) of the content you are reporting.
- An explanation of why you believe the content is unlawful. For copyright claims, identify the original work you own (a link or a clear description) and confirm you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them.
- The statement: "I confirm my good-faith belief that the information in this report is accurate and complete." For copyright claims, add: "The use of the material described is not authorized by the rights holder, their agent, or the law."
- Your signature (a typed full name is sufficient).
Incomplete reports may delay or prevent review.
What happens next
We will confirm receipt of your report, review it, and remove or disable access to the content if the report is valid. We will notify you of our decision. Because ISBNdb aggregates book metadata from third-party data sources, where relevant we will also address the report with the source the content originated from.
If content was removed in error
If you are a rights holder or listed publisher and believe content was removed in error, contact us at [email protected] within 14 days and explain why. We will review your complaint and restore the content if the removal was unjustified.
Misuse of this process
Knowingly submitting false reports may expose you to legal liability and lead to suspension of our processing of your future reports.
