Anora is a 2024 American romantic comedy-drama movie written, directed, and edited by Sean Baker. It is about a quick marriage between Brooklyn stripper Anora (Mikey Madison) and son of a Russian oligarch Ivan Zakharov (Mark Eydelshteyn).^[source?]

Anora was released on October 18, 2024, by Neon to strong positive reviews.^[6]^[7]^[8]

It won five awards at the 97th Academy Awards, more than any other movie, winning for Best Picture, Best Actress (Madison), Best Original Screenplay, Best Film Editing, and Best Director.^[9]
