👁️🌍On World Sight Day 2026, the Sudanese Optometry Society and our partners believe that the right to better vision begins with awareness and continues with early detection and specialized eye care. On this day, we and our partners reaffirm our commitment to the profession and the Sudanese community. We work to promote eye health awareness, encourage regular checkups, and support access to accessible optical services through initiatives and partnerships with various sectors. We also emphasize the importance of uniting efforts between optometrists, health and community institutions, and private companies to build a better future for eye health in Sudan. Sudanese Optometry Society

The Sudanese Optometry Society (SOS) is a national body that brings together optometrists, ophthalmologists, opticians, volunteers, and advocates for primary eye care. Our goal is to enhance eye health services through education, research, advocacy, and collaboration.

  • Vision To serve as a pioneering, protective, and distinguished voice for the advancement of the optometric profession in Sudan.
