About Us
windsoriteDOTca – windsor’s neighbourhood news, is Windsor Ontario’s #1, locally-owned, online newspaper.
Since launching in 2010, we’ve covered the news stories everyone has been talking about, have been a reliable, consistent source of daily news and have brought readers news as it breaks.
We’re Windsor’s online destination for what’s called hyperlocal news, that is, stories about what literally happens on a neighbourhood level — in your neighbourhood.
We’re amazing at:
- being a trusted source of knowledge, news and information on everything Windsor-Essex.
- bringing the news to you as it breaks.
- publishing every article as objectively and fairly as possible. Part of our core set of beliefs is to be completely opinion-free. We do not publish editorials or opinion pieces.
- running Windsor-Essex’s largest daily Events Calendar. At any given time, readers can find hundreds of events to attend, in multiple categories, at specific venues or in certain local municipalities.
- giving readers a look inside new and existing local businesses, restaurants, boutiques and shoppes.
- publishing Windsor-Essex’s most comprehensive online Summer Festival Guide, the only all-local Christmas Guide and guides to other popular holidays.
- covering neighbourhood-level news in WINDSOR-ESSEX: the stories that impact the lives of citizens in the areas where they live, work, explore, shop and entertain.
- connecting readers to the latest in their communities, in REAL-TIME, by utilizing innovative news publishing tools and strategic marketing methods to deliver information as quickly as possible to the citizens who value it most.
