Hi, I noticed sometimes the classic editor option doesn’t show on some posts. Not sure if it’s a setting or a conflict. Other posts work fine. Has anyone faced this before? would like to understand. thanks 👍

  • Hi @pablo740,

The editor switch option only shows when Settings → Writing → Allow users to switch editors is set to Yes, so check that first.

If it’s already on, the missing option usually comes from one of these:

    • Custom post types: a post type that isn’t registered with show_in_rest => true can’t use the block editor, so there’s nothing to switch to.
    • The “Posts page”: the page set as your blog page under Settings → Reading always opens in the Classic editor.
    • Another plugin: a page builder or custom post type plugin may be forcing one editor on those posts. Try deactivating other plugins one at a time to find it.

Could you let us know which post types it happens on? That will help narrow it down.

      Hope this helps!
