At Blockchain, we pride ourselves on giving our customers maximum freedom – freedom in what they trade, when they trade, and how they trade. Today, we’re giving traders even more choice in how they invest by launching options in the Blockchain Trading Account.

Options let traders express a view on both price direction and timing—and we’ve designed the experience to make that process more straightforward.

Choose an expiry date and target price for a digital asset, enter your trade amount, and review before confirming—simple as that. The app translates your view into the corresponding call or put option, so you can focus on the market rather than structuring the trade.

Many options for trading options

At launch, eligible users can buy call and put options on Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Solana (SOL), Hyperliquid (HYPE), Avalanche (AVAX), XRP, and TRON (TRX). Live market prices appear in the trading experience for real-time visibility, and trades are funded upfront in USDC from your Trading Account.

Because you’re buying options rather than trading on margin, the amount you pay upfront is your maximum potential loss. Options in the app will initially have expiries of up to one week and must be held through settlement.

Options follow our introduction of perpetual futures trading earlier this year. As with perps, the options product is available to eligible users in supported jurisdictions, though we look forward to expanding availability soon.

Now Presenting Options Trading in the Blockchain App

It’s 2011. A small apartment in York, England. Inclement weather outside. Inside, a wild and fiery belief that a new thing called crypto was going to change the world. Amid these conditions, Blockchain was forged, with a vision toward greater human economic freedom.
Cut to 2026 and digital assets have indeed changed the financial world, and in the process, Blockchain has dramatically changed too. Today we’re celebrating our fifteenth birthday – one of the very oldest in the industry – so it’s a fitting occasion to look back on how far we’ve come. Some of the highlights along the way:

2011 — Blockchain.info launches the world’s first Bitcoin explorer and quickly becomes the most visited crypto website in the world.
2012 — First hybrid cloud Bitcoin wallet launched.
2013 — Wallet surpasses 500,000 users.
2014 — 10 weeks later, 1M+ wallet milestone eclipsed.
2015 — Wallet surpasses 5M users.
2016 — Wallet grows to 10M users.
2017 — $40M Series B raised.
2018 — Institutional OTC trading desk launched.
2019 — Blockchain.com Exchange launched.
2020 — Reward Accounts introduced.
2021 — $300M Series C completed.
2022 — First crypto company to partner with an NFL team, the Dallas Cowboys.
2023 — $110M Series E secured.
2024 — New web wallet launched.
2025 — MiCA authorisation secured in EU. Total wallets exceed 90M.
2026 — Perpetual futures, crypto-backed loans, fixed-term rewards, prediction markets, and Blockchain Wealth all launched.

The Blockchain you see today is the work of an extraordinary team, past and present. Engineers, operators, compliance professionals, designers, and customer-facing colleagues in dozens of countries who have spent years of their lives dedicated to our mission. We’re grateful for them every day, and proud of all that we’ve built together.
For our customers, our work over the years has created safer places to store value and pass it on. For others, it means executing digital asset trades directly, with full visibility, instead of waiting on intermediaries who profit from that wait. For builders, it has meant infrastructure that lets a new crypto company become competitive in months or even weeks. The continued key to unlocking all of this potential is the same one we started with back in York, a decade and a half ago: Putting financial agency back in the hands of the person whose money it is.
We thank all our customers, partners and team members for supporting us and going on this amazing journey together. There is so much more to come in the next 15 years.
Onwards.

Blockchain, a global leader in crypto services for retail and institutional users, today announced that it has filed applications for registration as a Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) and designation as a Designated Contract Market (DCM) with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
If approved, the registrations would allow Blockchain to bring regulated crypto derivatives like futures and options as well as prediction market contracts to U.S. retail and institutional customers, expanding the range of markets accessible through its platform.
U.S. traders navigate an increasingly fragmented landscape, often using separate platforms to access crypto and prediction markets. Blockchain is seeking to change that by bringing these markets together through one integrated, simple app experience under CFTC regulatory oversight.
Earlier this year, Blockchain announced self-custodied prediction market offerings and perpetual futures trading for users in eligible markets around the world. The CFTC license applications are a step toward bringing similar prediction markets and regulated trading offerings directly to U.S. users in the Blockchain app.
“Users should be able to manage their digital assets, trade derivatives, and take positions on real-world events easily, without jumping between different apps,” said Peter Smith, Executive Chairman, CEO, and Co-Founder of Blockchain.com. “Our DCM and FCM applications build toward that future in the U.S. through the appropriate regulatory frameworks. We want customers to be able to access a broader universe of markets through the Blockchain.com platform they already trust, with the compliance, security and transparency they expect.”
The CFTC filings advance Blockchain's global regulatory strategy. As digital assets become more deeply integrated into financial markets worldwide, Blockchain has continued to invest in regulatory approvals and licensing across major jurisdictions.
Over the past year, the company has secured MiCA authorization through the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) in the EU, achieved Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) registration in the UK, and secured a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license in the Cayman Islands. Pursuing federal CFTC oversight reflects the same approach in the U.S., working within clear regulatory frameworks and with institutional-grade infrastructure.

Take a position on Anthropic’s potential IPO timing or OpenAI’s market cap at the close of its first trading day

Both markets are available for eligible users through Predictions

Anthropic and OpenAI are at the epicenter of two closely watched potential IPOs in 2026. Now, eligible users can take a view on what may unfold once the companies go public through Predictions in the Blockchain app.
Instead of just debating what might happen, users can take a position on a specific outcome. From Anthropic’s potential listing date to OpenAI’s market cap on its first day of trading, these markets offer a new way to engage with major IPO events before anyone knows how they’ll pan out.

Two new markets. Your call.

When could Anthropic go public?

Think you know when Anthropic will make its public market debut? The company has been moving toward a potential listing, putting its IPO timing under a magnifying glass in the AI sector.
The “When Will Anthropic IPO?” market lets you take a position on when the company could make its move.

What could OpenAI be worth on day one?

Making a call on the “OpenAI IPO Closing Market Cap” market lets you take a view on OpenAI’s value at the close of its first day of public trading.
These new markets offer two ways to follow and engage in the AI IPO conversation – one centered on timing and the other on valuation.

Prediction markets turn opinions into markets

IPO speculation usually means reading headlines, following valuations and debating what might happen next.
Prediction markets add another layer by letting users back their view tied to real-world outcomes. Market prices move as positions change, showing how expectations can shift over time.
Prediction markets do not use margin or leverage; users simply choose the amount to commit to a position. The Anthropic and OpenAI markets build on Blockchain’s broader prediction markets offering, first introduced with Polymarket earlier this summer. Read more about the launch and our approach to prediction markets here.

Blockchain and the New York Stock Exchange are exploring 24/7/365 access to tokenized U.S. exchange-listed stocks and ETFs for customers around the world.

A newly signed agreement also connects data layers – stock and crypto data will flow between the two platforms, giving users deeper market intelligence.

Today, Blockchain and the NYSE Group announced an agreement for a strategic collaboration to explore what onchain access to U.S. equities could look like at global scale. The collaboration’s aim is to give crypto-native investors everywhere the ability to trade tokenized versions of NYSE-listed stocks and ETFs, without the constraints of market hours, geography, or brokerage access.
At its core, it’s a bet by both parties on where capital markets are heading. Citi Institute puts the tokenized asset market at a $5.5 trillion base case by 2030, and the appeal is straightforward: fractional ownership, always-on trading, global reach, and transparent settlement that happens onchain. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission also recently announced a regulatory pathway supporting innovation in tokenized securities.
“Tokenized stocks are one of the most impactful advancements in the modern financial landscape, and a key catalyst for greater economic freedom. People shouldn’t be limited in owning stocks based on where they happen to live or the brokerage and information they may or may not have access to. Connecting to the NYSE digital ATS will enable us to extend the opportunity to invest in these digital assets to tens of millions of Blockchain.com users around the world.” – Peter Smith, Executive Chairman, CEO, and Co-Founder of Blockchain.com
The collaboration goes well beyond tokenization; it also opens up a two-way data exchange.
NYSE’s affiliated business, ICE Data Services, will distribute our crypto market data and analytics to its subscribing clients, giving traditional investors sharper visibility into digital assets.
On the other end, we will bring ICE and NYSE exchange data feeds into our app, putting real-time stock data in front of more than 44 million confirmed accounts to boost their market intelligence and investment decisions. One of the first places that data will surface is June, our crypto-savvy AI assistant.
Earlier this year, we partnered with Ondo Finance to launch onchain tokenized U.S. stocks to customers across Europe. This new agreement with NYSE represents another step in the direction of broader global convergence of capital markets and digital assets, building toward a future state where crypto-native and traditional finance cease to operate in separate lanes while ensuring greater economic freedom and investment opportunities that are accessible to all.

This season, Blockchain is working alongside the Dallas Cowboys to launch a brand-new commercial and partnership branding that feels right at home in Dallas. The localized campaign brings together confidence, commitment, and one unmistakable message: At Blockchain, we help our customers make moves that are right on the money.

A Campaign Built for Dallas

Already streaming live and playing throughout preseason games, our newest commercial captures the energy, legacy, and attitude that define Cowboys football. Written and directed entirely by our Chief Marketing Officer, James Maddison, the commercial and messaging was created for the 2026 to 2027 season and brings together Blockchain’s Dallas roots, our longstanding connection to the Cowboys, and a campaign built around the value of precision and execution.
The message is bold and simple, to match our new red branding featured around the stadium: Whether you are making a play on the field or making a move in crypto, getting it right when it matters counts.
That is where “All Cattle, No Hat” comes in.

All Cattle, No Hat

The line “All Cattle, No Hat,” featured in the commercial, is an intentional spin on the classic Texas saying “All Hat, No Cattle,” which describes someone who talks the part without backing it up with action. We flipped the phrase to represent the opposite: substance over show and capability over empty posture. Former Cowboys safety Keith Davis brings that attitude to life at the center of the commercial.
The message is about having the substance to back up the confidence and letting actions speak for themselves. That mindset is a natural fit for both Keith Davis and Blockchain. For our customers, we aim to be the partner that stands behind our word and provides the tools, access, and reliability they need to pursue their goals with confidence.
That same sense of follow through defined Keith’s time with the Cowboys. He was known for pouring everything into every play, bringing toughness, determination, and an all in mentality to the field. His reputation was built on showing up and delivering when it mattered most.
Together, that mindset brings “All Cattle, No Hat” to life and connects directly to our larger message: right on the money.

Right on the Money

“Right on the Money” sits at the heart of our new campaign at AT&T Stadium, capturing the confidence and execution that connect Cowboys football with the world of investing. Cowboys football is built around reading the moment, trusting your instincts, and executing when the pressure is on. Navigating financial markets requires that same sense of purpose and conviction. The new advertising taps into the larger-than-life spirit of Cowboys football while connecting it to something every investor can understand, which is the desire to make the right move when it matters most.
That idea comes to life visually through Blockchain’s new red branding throughout the stadium. Bold, confident, and impossible to miss, the creative reinforces the decisiveness behind “right on the money.”
Keith built his reputation by boldly stepping onto the field ready to make the play when it counted most. Blockchain wants to give investors that same sense of confidence when navigating their financial future.
It is a meeting of two Dallas brands and one shared mentality: know the moment, make your move, and be right on the money.

We have upgraded the Blockchain Earn experience to give you greater options over your crypto yields. Users can now choose between the ultimate liquidity of Flexible Rewards (deposit and withdraw anytime) or the boosted earnings of Fixed-Term Rewards.
Fixed-Term Rewards offer rate boosts stacked directly on top of the base Flexible Reward rate, scaling higher the longer you commit. By locking in assets for a set period, users can secure higher, guaranteed promotional rates compared to standard flexible options.
At its core, Flexible Rewards gives active traders more control to deposit, earn daily rewards, and withdraw funds at any time, making it ideal for those who prioritize liquidity. Fixed-Term Rewards provides tiered, higher reward rates that scale directly with the length of commitment, ensuring that the longer the rates are locked in the assets, the higher the potential reward rate becomes.

Getting started with these upgraded rates takes just a few clicks inside the existing account setup. Log into the Blockchain App, navigate directly to the Earn tab on your main dashboard, and select the Fixed-Term Rewards option. From there, pick the preferred asset and term length and confirm the transfer.

To explore rates available, users can explore their options quickly through our dedicated Blockchain Earn Hub before standard fixed rates return.

Marc Sischka is leading the next chapter of Blockchain’s OTC trading business

The desk supports 600+ tokens, with strength beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum

Blockchain’s OTC desk combines broader market access and a flexible product suite with a relationship-driven approach built around close client partnerships

Marc Sischka, Global Head of OTC Trading at Blockchain, brings 18 years of experience across commodities and traditional finance, along with eight years at the forefront of crypto trading. He has built a career across market cycles, institutional growth, and the evolution of digital assets from an emerging category into a global financial market.
Marc is the kind of person whose experience in crypto is matched by a genuine enthusiasm for the market and the people in it. After spending much of his career at one of the world’s leading crypto exchanges, Marc joined Blockchain to lead its OTC trading business and bring that experience into its next chapter.
In an industry where longevity matters, Marc has earned a reputation as a true crypto trading veteran. He knows how markets move, what sophisticated clients expect, and where traditional trading models can fall short.
Now, he is putting that experience to work at Blockchain, building an OTC desk around a simple idea: clients should have access to more. More assets. More products. More flexibility. And, above all, a trading relationship that goes far beyond execution.

Building relationships, not just executing trades

For Marc, a strong OTC desk starts with understanding the client.
That means going beyond taking an order and quoting a price. Marc and his team work closely with clients to understand what they are trying to accomplish, where they are seeing opportunity, and what kind of access or structure they need to get there.
It is a relationship-driven approach shaped by years of working with sophisticated market participants.
“The best trading relationships go beyond execution. Our job is to understand what clients are trying to achieve, help them navigate the market, and give them access to opportunities they may not be able to reach elsewhere. That ability to combine broad market access with a highly tailored, relationship-driven approach is what sets Blockchain apart.” - Marc Sischka
Marc’s philosophy has become central to how Blockchain’s OTC business is evolving: less transactional, more consultative, and built around long-term relationships.

Trading Beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum

Another example of what sets Blockchain’s trading desk apart is the breadth of its market access, with support for more than 600 tokens, including assets further down the market-cap spectrum that many institutional desks do not cover.
For Marc, that breadth is not about having a long list for the sake of it. It is about being able to respond when clients see opportunity outside the most heavily traded assets.
Altcoin trading has become a particular strength of the desk, supported by deep liquidity, competitive pricing, and a streamlined internal process for evaluating new asset requests. If a client is looking to trade a token outside the 600+ assets already supported, the desk can move quickly to review, approve, and add support for it.
As institutional demand moves beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum, that flexibility matters more. Blockchain has built the infrastructure to meet clients where the market is moving, including in areas where access can be harder to find elsewhere.

More than spot

Marc is also focused on making the desk useful across a much wider range of trading needs.
For spot trading, Blockchain supports both principal and agency-style execution, giving clients flexibility in how they access liquidity and execute larger or more complex trades. Through its agency offering, the OTC desk can also provide institutional-grade smart order algorithms designed to minimize market impact and help clients execute more efficiently.
Beyond spot, Blockchain provides access to options, structured yield strategies, perpetual markets, and fiat trading. The team is also expanding its approach to yield, including more structured strategies around assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Marc says, “the goal is to avoid forcing clients to piece together multiple relationships across their trading activity. Clients don’t want five different relationships to solve five different trading needs. We’re building a desk that can support them across spot, options, yield strategies, perpetuals, and fiat.”
Transparency is an important part of that equation too. For certain strategies, clients can have clear visibility into fees and discuss their mandate directly with the desk.
The idea is straightforward: sophisticated trading does not have to feel complicated. It should be clear, responsive, and built around the way each client wants to trade.

Experience that shapes the desk

Marc’s career in crypto has given him a rare perspective on how the market has evolved and a clear sense of where it’s headed next.
He has traded through multiple cycles, watched institutional participation expand, and seen client expectations become more sophisticated alongside the market itself.
That experience now shapes how he thinks about the future of Blockchain’s OTC business.
The opportunity, in his view, is not simply to build a larger desk. It is to build one that can adapt quickly, offer broader access, and stay close to what clients actually need as the market evolves.
And after nearly a decade spent watching crypto trading mature in real time, we’re proud to have Marc leading Blockchain’s OTC desk and helping shape what comes next.

A closer look at the strategy behind Blockchain’s evolving OTC business.

Beyond the Trade: How Marc Sischka Is Leading and Building Blockchain’s OTC Desk

As one of the original non-custodial wallets, Blockchain has always stood for one principle: not your keys, not your crypto. That principle now applies beyond crypto. Venice built the same idea for AI: not your data, not your privacy.

Native token of Venice.ai

$VVV is the native token of Venice.ai, a privacy-first generative AI platform built on Base (Ethereum's Layer-2), powering the platform's economy. Users stake it to earn rewards, access API inference, and mint DIEM tokens that provide roughly $1 per day in API credits.
Venice was founded by Erik Voorhees (founder of ShapeShift) and offers permissionless access to open-source and third-party AI models like Claude, Grok, and DeepSeek, for text, image, video, audio, and code generation.

Why VVV matters

Most AI platforms trade your data for access. Venice was built differently: no data retention, no tracking, and permissionless access to leading AI models. Its token gives users a stake in an alternative to centralized AI.
