A Timeline Rooted in Your Community
Each location brought talented people, valued relationships, and years of local experience into the EK family.
Napoleon
818 N. Perry St.Napoleon, Ohio 43545
EK Computer, headquartered in Napoleon, Ohio opened its doors in 1998. EK Computer began in Napoleon in 1998 with one employee and a commitment to the belief that “a good deal is only a good deal if both sides win.” In the early years, we provided technology services to both businesses and residential customers throughout the community. As technology needs evolved, our focus shifted toward managed IT services for area businesses, allowing us to deliver greater long-term value, stronger security, and more proactive support. To ensure residential customers continued receiving the help they needed, we developed partnerships with trusted local companies that specialize in residential technology services. From our humble beginnings, EK has grown to more than 27 employees—and counting—while remaining committed to the communities and organizations that made that growth possible.
Findlay
1219 West Main Cross St.Findlay, Ohio 45840
Formerly Watchtower IT Services, acquired in 2018. In 2018, EK Computer acquired Watchtower IT Services after its owners approached us about partnering with a trusted local technology company as they prepared to exit the business and pursue new opportunities. Recognizing a shared commitment to clients and the community, EK welcomed Watchtower’s original team and maintained the relationships and local expertise they had built over the years. The acquisition established a stronger EK presence in Findlay and created new opportunities to expand our team, resources, and ability to support businesses throughout the area.
Defiance
208 Perry St.Defiance, Ohio 43512
Formerly Customized Information Systems, acquired in 2023. EK Computer and Customized Information Systems worked alongside one another for many years, combining their expertise to support larger organizations throughout the region. Over time, the strong working relationship and shared commitment to client service made merging the two companies a natural next step. EK retained the original Customized Information Systems team, preserving the experience, relationships, and local knowledge its clients had come to trust. The merger strengthened EK Computer’s presence in Defiance and expanded our ability to serve organizations throughout the surrounding area.
Toledo
7862-E W. Central Ave.Toledo, Ohio 43617
Formerly Comprehensive Data Services, acquired in 2025. In 2025, EK Computer acquired Comprehensive Data Services, marking an important step in expanding our presence throughout the Toledo area. We retained the original staff, preserving the experience, trusted relationships, and local knowledge they had developed while welcoming additional talent to the EK team. The acquisition also established a new EK location in Toledo, strengthening our ability to provide responsive, top-tier technology services to businesses and organizations across the region.
