By entering the Afrihack post pandemic hackathon for Africa, you’re agreeing to the Devpost terms of service and the Official Rules listed below.
Submission
Register for the Hackathon by clicking Rigister, to complete registration. Sign up to create a Devpost account, or login with an existing Devpost account. This will enable you access the Submission page.
Developer tools: Signup for developer account of your choice, and include a link to your solution code on Github repository sharing server. Your code may be private or public. If your repository is private, access must be given during submission.
Working solution: solution name, video demo of the solution, text description and additional information. Complete and enter all the required fields on the submission page "Devpost" during submission period. Based on the following requirement:-
A. language requirement:- all materials submitted must be in English or if not in English, the inventor must provide an English translation of the demonstration video and text description as well as all materials submitted.
B. Solution requirement:-
i) Inventors must build new health care solution on the github or another code repository sharing service. And the link to code should be provided with your submission.
ii) Functionality. the solution code must function as shown in the video or expressed in any other materials submitted in connection to the hackathon.
iii) Testing. Inventor should make solution available free of charge and without any restrictions for testing.
iv) Multiple submission, Projects shall be submitted in groups and each person is to belong to one group. Groups / individuals will not be allowed to submit more than one project.
C. Text Description, Image and Video Requirements.
i) Text description: this should include a brief explain the features and functionality of your solution.
ii) Video this should not be more than five minutes (5) and must include footage that clearly explains the solution's features and functionality through comprehensive demonstration. And the video must be uploaded to Youtube, Facebook video and the link to the video must be shared on submission.
Must not include third party trademarks or copyrights or other materials unless the inventor has permission to use such materials.
Rights and Display
- Submissions and their intellectual property rights will remain under individual or team ownership of their inventor, neither promotional partners of Afrihack post pandemic hackathon for Africa. we encourage participants to open source their projects to share their hacks with innovation community and make the world better.
- All parties involved in preparation of the Afrihack post pandemic hackathon for Africa, reserves the right to use all participating team's name in any publicity statements including internet, website, media and articles.
- Your Submission may be posted on a public website. We are not responsible for any unauthorized use of your Submission by visitors to this website,you will not receive any compensation or credit for the above use of your Submission, other than what is described in these Official Rules.
Judging
Panal of judges from various fields shall rank the top projects. This doesn't make other projects inferior in any way and innovators will still be supported by our community.
Code of conduct
All participants must follow high ethical standards and respect to all participants.
This is a harassment-free event for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. If you're aware of any harassment, please report it immediately to event organizers.
