Our Approach

Ask Bishop is a study tool — not a pastoral authority. Think of it like a concordance or study Bible with a conversational interface: it surfaces what Scripture says, grounds every answer in your theological tradition, and points you back to the Word and your community.

What it will do
  • Answer Bible questions with inline Scripture citations
  • Explain passages in the context of your tradition
  • Support sermon study and reflection
  • Write Scripture-grounded prayers
  • Generate devotional content tied to the day's verse
What it won't do
  • Claim spiritual authority or divine insight
  • Interpret Scripture as binding doctrine
  • Tell you what your tradition doesn't actually teach
  • Replace your pastor, your church, or your community
  • Validate you instead of pointing you to the Word
Six traditions, your lens
Choose your theological framework — Evangelical, Reformed, Catholic, Orthodox, Charismatic, or Mainline Protestant — and every answer is grounded in your lens without imposing one.

Ask the same question in two traditions and you will get two theologically accurate, materially different answers. That is the design.
A bridge, not a replacement
Ask Bishop is built for the questions that come up between Sundays — the verse you want to go deeper on, the sermon point you want to follow up, the prayer you don't know how to put into words yet.

The local church is irreplaceable. This is a tool for showing up more prepared for it.
Study aid, not doctrine. Always verify with your pastor, your church, and the Word itself. Ask Bishop cites its sources — if it doesn't show you the Scripture, question it.

User Voices
"I have tested it with obscure questions like the Nard referred to in Mark that was poured over Jesus' head. It not only identified Spikenard perfume, but its origin, why it was in a sealed container, where it came from, how it was processed, and the spiritual significance of the moment that the Apostles missed. Eye-opening and amazing."

Founder
Jeremy Sadler
Founder & Developer — Ask Bishop

Jeremy is a 30-year IT and cybersecurity professional and U.S. Marine Corps veteran who built Ask Bishop in three months using AI-assisted development — then applied enterprise security discipline to every release: SonarQube static analysis, OWASP ZAP dynamic scanning, full security-header hardening, and zero third-party trackers or ad networks.

The project was driven by a simple conviction: people with honest faith questions deserve answers grounded in Scripture and faithful to their tradition — not the validation-driven responses that generic AI defaults to. Ask Bishop was built for his church community. It grew from there.
