Butser Plus gives insider access to the ancient skills and knowledge discovered at Butser Ancient Farm. In exchange for a small regular donation, members get access to professional, regularly updated video footage sharing the experimental archaeology, ancient skills and nature at the site. Donations support the running costs of Butser Ancient Farm, an independent not-for-profit educational organisation.

How much is Butser Plus?

The minimum donation is £5.99 a month, with the option to donate more.

What will my donation be used for?

Donations support the educational and research work of Butser Ancient Farm, including maintaining and developing the site, feeding the farm animals, supporting archaeological understanding, caring for ancient rare-breed animals, and protecting ancient crops and plants.

How do I reset my password?

Passwords are not required for membership accounts by default. Members can use the sign-in form to request a sign-in link by email. If preferred, a password can be created after sign-up and later reset using the password reset page.

You can donate monthly or pay for a whole year by selecting a donation amount and entering payment card details. Information provided is securely encrypted and protected. Once signed up, you can log in to the membership area to view videos while your membership is active.

Can I cancel my donation?

Yes. Donations can be paused or cancelled at any time through the membership portal.

What videos do you have?

Videos cover the diversity of life at Butser Ancient Farm, including experimental archaeology, ancient skills, animals, and the natural world. Time periods include the Stone Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age, Roman and Saxon periods. Categories include Butser Life, Ancient Skills, Roundhouse Discussions and Mindful Moments, with new behind-the-scenes project content added regularly.

Who makes the videos?

The videos are made with producer and director Hollie Osborn, who captures and helps bring Butser Ancient Farm to screen.
