Founded by Al Mega in 2006, Comic Crusaders started as a comic book news site, webzine, and fan-driven platform. Over the years, the brand has grown into a multimedia home for comic book journalism, creator interviews, reviews, podcasts, toy coverage, pop culture conversations, and more.
But through every change, one thing has stayed the same: Comic Crusaders champions creators.
We love the big names, the capes, the cinematic universes, and the legendary characters. But we also know the real magic often starts in the indie scene, the small press world, the crowdfunding trenches, and the creator-owned grind. That’s where tomorrow’s top talent is building today’s next big thing.
That’s why we shine a bright light on comic books, graphic novels, indie creators, publishers, artists, writers, filmmakers, podcasters, collectors, gamers and fans who keep this culture alive.
Comic Crusaders has always been global in spirit. Our team and contributors have represented different countries, backgrounds, fandoms, and perspectives. That matters to us because comics are for everyone. No gatekeeping. No nonsense. Just passion, respect, and love for the medium.
Our mission is simple:
- To elevate creators, inform fans, celebrate pop culture, and keep the comic book community moving forward with honesty, energy, and heart.
- Through the Comic Crusaders Podcast, Cinema Crusaders, Gaming Crusaders, and our extended network of shows, we bring fans closer to the people behind the stories they love. From indie creators launching their first book to industry veterans shaping the future of entertainment, we give them the mic and let the world hear their story.
- We cover comics, movies, TV, toys, collectibles, crowdfunding, music, conventions, gaming and the wild beautiful chaos that makes nerd culture so powerful.

We believe reviews should be honest, fair, and constructive. We do not accept payment for “good reviews.” Never have. Never will. If something works, we celebrate it. If something needs improvement, we say it with respect. The goal is never to tear creators down. The goal is to help readers discover great work and help creators grow.
We also believe this community should be safe, welcoming, and inclusive. Bullying, harassment, hate, and creator-bashing do not belong here. Nerd culture is for everyone, and Comic Crusaders stands by that.
