Sources: US doesn’t have enough missiles to prosecute war against Iran

I have a feeling that we are going to find out if that is true or not.

The US does not have enough missiles to return to an all-out war with Iran, an American official has warned.

Donald Trump is considering his options to launch a “wider war” against Tehran as more American warplanes are deployed to the Middle East.

However, a US official familiar with administration discussions said the operation would be limited by dwindling stockpiles of air defence and long-range munitions.

“We do not have enough to safely sustain operations, and I don’t think the White House is aware of that,” the official told The Washington Post.

The US expanded its strikes in a ninth consecutive night of attacks on the country, edging closer to all-out conflict in the region.

Iran kept up its barrages across the region in response, with its Revolutionary Guards announcing they had hit targets in Bahrain, Jordan and Syria. Bahrain said Tehran had targeted its air navigation systems.

Masoud Pezeshkian, the Iranian president, said Tehran was once again engaged in a “full-scale war” with the US and Washington should accept the repercussions of the conflict.

Egg producers to pay out for price fixing during bird flu

Image

Three of America’s largest egg-producers will pay millions of dollars to settle price-fixing allegations, following a federal investigation.

The investigation alleged that the companies— Cal-Maine Foods Inc., Versova and Hickman’s Egg Ranch Inc.—coordinated to inflate the price of eggs during the recent epidemic of bird flu.

“The Antitrust Division is steadfast in our work to protect our nation’s citizens from illegal conduct that makes daily life less affordable,” said Deputy Assistant Attorney General Nicole Sarrine of the U.S. Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Antitrust Division in a statement.

The companies will pay $3.3 million and donate 53 million eggs to food banks or non-profits,

All three companies denied any wrongdoing and have not been charged by the DoJ as part of the settlement.

“Our decision to accept this settlement simply reflects our firm intention to put this matter behind us and focus on our business,” a Versova spokesman said.

The three companies have been huge beneficiaries of government indemnities for losses suffered as a result of bird flu.

Together they received $193 million, or about 13% of the industry’s $1.5 billion in payments.

Last year, egg prices hit $6 a dozen as huge numbers of birds were killed due to bird flu.

At the time, egg companies were adamant that bird flu was the main cause of the price increases.

During his presidential campaign, President Trump vowed to bring down the price of eggs as a day-one policy.

He pledged to “drive down prices and make America affordable again,” and after taking office, increased biosecurity measures to combat bird flu.

By spring 2025, there had been significant declines in wholesale prices, which were then passed on to consumers.

Oopsey! Lettuce didn’t actually test positive for Cyclospora

Damn. Sorry about that, did we ruin your business?

(Zero Hedge)—A sample of lettuce from a U.S. supplier did not actually test positive for a parasite called Cyclospora, the Food and Drug Administration said on July 19.

Regulators on Saturday said that the sample of shredded lettuce from Taylor Farms tested positive for the parasite.

“Due to the complexity in detection of Cyclospora, FDA laboratory experts re-reviewed the sample results and have concluded that the finding does not represent true amplification and should be considered a false positive,” the FDA said in a statement on Sunday.

Regulatory officials notified Taylor Farms of the development and are collecting and analyzing additional samples with state partners.

Taylor Farms said in a statement that it was informed that the announcement of the positive test was based on “a mistake” and that the FDA had informed the company of the false positive.

And why haven’t we heard from Canada lately?

The Houthis jump in

Image

Iran had pressed the Houthis to close the Bab el-Mandeb gateway to the Red Sea if the U.S. continued to attack Iranian power infrastructure.

In their statement, the Houthis’ armed forces said they were declaring “a maritime embargo against the criminal Saudi enemy, based on the equation of ‘an eye for an eye’, effective immediately…”

They said the decision was in response to what they called “an unjust and oppressive siege” imposed on Yemen by the Saudis.

There was no immediate response from Saudi Arabia.

The full closure of the Bab el-Mandeb strait would reduce global oil supply by 7% as it would leave most of Saudi oil exports unable to leave the region. The disruption would add to the massive cut to global oil flows from the war in the Gulf, which has already reduced shipments by 10% of global supply.

The Houthis’ announcement followed signs from both Iran and the U.S. that they wanted to resume diplomatic efforts to end an escalating cycle of attacks that has all but wrecked a fragile interim agreement signed last month.

Russia just threw one of its largest ballistic barrages of the entire war at Kyiv — and Ukraine’s defenses stopped most of it

Image

Is that the sound of Patriot missile batterys running low?…… Don’t be mistaken, this war is not only against Iran. Putin gave Trump the grapefruit in the face treatment when he attempted to broker peace.

Image

The line across the front is quickly joining as the US is now hitting roadways and bridges leading into the Stans. The Stans link up not only with Russia but also China to the East. Word has it that Patriot batterys are already running low in the ME section and are now at a premium for Ukraine…….The entire balance of the ME has shifted with Russia losing it’s stronghold in Syria and it’s partnership with Iran severed. Russia will now be putting the pressure on in Ukraine to force them to use up what could be irreplaceable missile stocks. Things are about to get interesting.

Russia Launched 25 Ballistic Missiles At Ukraine As Kyiv’s Patriot Supply Runs Thin: Russia launched 41 missiles and 125 drones against Ukraine overnight into July 19, concentrating most of the missile attack on Kyiv in one of Moscow’s largest ballistic barrages since the full-scale war began.

The attack included 25 Iskander-M ballistic missiles or missiles fired from S-400 air-defense systems, 10 Zircon missiles, three Oniks cruise missiles, and three Kh-59 or Kh-69 guided missiles, according to figures released by the Ukrainian Air Force and reported by Ukrainska Pravda.

Ukraine said its air defenses intercepted or suppressed 126 of the 166 incoming weapons. That total included 18 missiles and 108 drones. Twenty-three missiles and 10 drones reached 20 locations, while debris fell at another 18 sites.

One person was killed, and 16 were wounded in Kyiv, according to an updated Associated Press report. Fires and damage were reported across five districts of the capital.

Florida man strikes again….

What we know:

On Tuesday, July 14, a Flagler County Sheriff’s Office deputy stopped 52-year-old James Shepard as he pulled up to his court-ordered drug class. Deputies arrested him after discovering he drove to the facility on a suspended license, violating his felony probation.

Once in custody, deputies said they found a device strapped to his groin designed to falsify drug tests. The device included a heating pad, fake urine, and an artificial tube designed to pass off the sample during testing.

Inmate patrol car evidence

What we don’t know:

Officials have not confirmed whether Shepard used the artificial device during previous court-ordered drug screenings.

Sheriff Rick Staly statement

What they’re saying:

While he was being taken to the jail, deputies said Shepard complained of shoulder pain, prompting the deputy to move his handcuffs to the front of his body. Investigators said Shepard used his freed hands to pull the concealed apparatus from his pants and drop it onto the floorboard of the patrol car, later claiming it did not belong to him.

“This pee-brain dirtbag had already been given the deal of a lifetime, walking around on community control when he should have been sitting in a prison cell for almost a decade,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “Shepard terrorized our home construction businesses and had stolen enough appliances to open an appliance store but was only sentenced to community control when his own sentencing scoresheet had him eligible for a minimum of nine years in prison. Now he has a stream of new charges after flushing away a second chance to turn his life around. Instead, he tried to trick the system. Now he needs to go to prison!”
