This week in our ‘5 questions with…’ series, we put the spotlight on Mark Gordon, Production Planner.
Q.1 – What excites you most about Gill and your role here?
Being the first Production Planner at Gill has been a great challenge and opportunity. I’ve really enjoyed developing the role, learning quickly, and driving improvements that make a tangible difference to how the operation runs.
Q.2 – What interests you most about the industry?
I’m particularly interested in how much data is generated in manufacturing, especially on the production side. What excites me is turning that data into insights that improve planning, efficiency, and OTD performance.
Q.3 –How do you see technology impacting your role over the next 5 years?
I think manufacturing is moving towards more sustainability and data driven operations, with energy to help improve global impact.
Q.4 -Who has inspired you the most in your career, and what did you learn from them?
This is probably a generic answer, but my dad was the one to inspire me to have a strong working ethic and he pushed me to be better.
Q.5 -Tell us something about yourself that might surprise us.
Something that might surprise people is how varied my interests are outside of work from airsoft and tabletop gaming to roller skating.
