The code that's triggered when using
--from-commitdoes not use a GitHub token at all, but it's an easy way to limit how often we run these tests, since we frequently run into GitHub rate limits in these tests, which is annoying (see also https://github.blog/changelog/2025-05-08-updated-rate-limits-for-unauthenticated-requests/)
