That and the velocity required to achieve meld tends to be, well, termial. Of course, proper some geeks would say, "Sanitation requires terminal emulation," But I disagree - both forms of terminal require mental bleach.
Of course, then there are the Linux geeks who meld via print jobs, but I avoid them too - I'm allergic to LaTex, and I mind unprotected spools.
