The viewing flow is the marketplace's core interaction, and it ran on manual ops work that couldn't scale. We rebuilt it self-serve for buyers, sellers, and ops.
The product-matching feature customers didn’t trust had almost no usage. The design problem was shipping something useful without waiting for the model to mature.
Families could find activities on Hoop but not book them. The flow had to work for both sides of a busy marketplace.
How something looks changes whether people trust it, understand it, enjoy using it. But aesthetics is often the last thing considered and the first thing cut, because it's hard to measure. That doesn't make it less real. It makes it harder to defend, and more worth defending.
