PhantomCollect is an educational data collection and analysis framework designed for ethical cybersecurity research and privacy auditing. It demonstrates how web-based tracking scripts and fingerprinting techniques work in a safe, transparent environment.
PhantomCollect is an advanced educational framework designed to demonstrate secure and transparent web data collection techniques. It runs a local web server that collects technical data from visitors — including IP, geolocation (with consent), device specs, browser info, network status, and battery level — then displays the results in real time via the terminal interface.
The project aims to help security researchers and developers understand how tracking scripts and digital fingerprinting mechanisms operate within modern browsers, all within a safe, ethical, and transparent environment.
