River Jiang Headshot

Hi there!

I am a postdoctoral scholar at the University of California, San Francisco, a fellow in the Clinician Investigator Program at the University of British Columbia, and a student in the Master of Information and Data Science program at the University of California, Berkeley. I completed my advanced echocardiography training at the University of California, San Francisco, my internal medicine and cardiology residency and fellowship at the University of British Columbia, and obtained my MD from McMaster University.

I am working on applications of machine learning and computer vision for cardiovascular disease phenotyping and prognostication, particularly focused on echocardiography. My work is supported through the University of British Columbia Friedman Scholarship. I enjoy working on statistical analysis of large datasets within medicine, deep learning, multimodality, and development and validation of predictive AI models. For more info about what I have worked on, please see the list of my publications.
