These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Laravel ("Service"), a school meal management platform operated by Salan LLC ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Eligibility and Account Registration

Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account as a parent, school administrator, or supplier
• Student accounts must be created by authorized parents or school administrators
• Schools and suppliers must be authorized entities with valid business registrations
• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration

Account Responsibilities

• Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• Authorized Use: You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes
• Accuracy: You must keep your account information up-to-date
• Notification: You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
• Activity: You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account

Service Description

Salan provides a comprehensive platform for managing school meal programs, including:

• Meal Ordering: Browse menus and place meal orders for students
• Payment Processing: Secure payment for meals through multiple methods
• Balance Management: Student wallet system for convenient payments
• Dietary Management: Track and communicate dietary restrictions and allergies
• Order Tracking: Real-time status updates for meal orders
• Communication: Messaging between parents, schools, and suppliers

Payment Terms

Payment Methods

• Credit/debit cards through our secure payment processor
• Student wallet balance (pre-loaded by parents)
• School-approved payment methods

Payment Policies

• Processing: All payments are processed securely through our payment partners
• Authorization: By placing an order, you authorize us to charge the selected payment method
• Fees: Transaction fees may apply based on the payment method chosen
• Currency: All prices are displayed in Omani Rial (OMR) unless otherwise specified

Refund Policy

• Refunds for cancelled orders will be processed within 5-7 business days
• Orders can be cancelled up to the cut-off time set by the supplier
• Refunds for unused wallet balance available upon account closure
• No refunds for orders already prepared or delivered

Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Provide false or misleading information
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Use automated systems or software to extract data
• Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Engage in any activity that could damage our reputation

School and Supplier Obligations

Schools Must:

• Verify student enrollments and parent authorizations
• Maintain accurate student information and class assignments
• Communicate meal schedules and changes promptly
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
• Manage supplier relationships responsibly

Suppliers Must:

• Provide accurate menu information and pricing
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
• Honor confirmed orders and delivery commitments
• Update availability and menu changes promptly
• Handle dietary restrictions and allergies with care
• Maintain valid business licenses and permits

Intellectual Property Rights

Our Content

All content, features, and functionality of the Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software, are owned by Salan LLC or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service.

Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the Service becomes our property and may be used without compensation or attribution to you.

Disclaimers and Limitations

Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

Food Safety

While we facilitate communication about dietary restrictions and allergies, ultimate responsibility for food safety lies with schools and suppliers. Parents must communicate directly with schools about critical dietary needs.

Third-Party Services

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third parties.

Limitation of Liability

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Salan LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Your content submitted to the Service
• Any food safety issues arising from your failure to communicate dietary restrictions

Account Termination

Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time through the account settings or by contacting our support team. Upon termination:

• Your access to the Service will be immediately revoked
• Pending orders may be cancelled based on supplier policies
• Wallet balance refunds will be processed per our refund policy
• Your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy

Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms or any applicable laws
• You provide false or misleading information
• You engage in fraudulent activities
• Your actions harm other users or our business
• Required by law or court order

Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution

We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any disputes informally. Most concerns can be resolved quickly by contacting our support team.

Arbitration

If informal resolution fails, any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of the Sultanate of Oman, except where prohibited by law.

Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Sultanate of Oman, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Muscat, Oman.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through:

• In-app notifications
• Prominent notice on our website

Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Salan LLC regarding the Service.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, or acts of civil or military authorities.
