You could look at this as a sort of manifesto for Clew, based on ideas I've gained in my course this semeseter on Digital Authorship.
Renewed Clew's domain name for two more years!
To those curious the best term to describe Clew's current state is either "prototype" or "proof of concept". There's lots of work to be done, but the roadmap is fairly clear at this point and I think the concept has definitely been proved by the project so far.
The newest Clew dev blog post is live, detailing the planned architecture for the web crawler refactor started recently!

We'll be releasing the crawler code when this refactor is finished.
Clew was having some issues this morning (overloaded again) but seems to be working fine now.
I do have an idea of one performance fix that should help a good bit but have been more focused on the crawler at the moment.
New dev blog post for Clew!
I believe I’ve reached a point in Clew’s development where, armed with the knowledge I’ve acquired from months of crawling sites and using that data to search the index, it’s time to wipe the index and start over. In this post I talk through that decision.

I finally have a working prototype of a refactor that's been months in the works. You can look forward to significantly improved result accuracy and performance in Clew, coming soon.
Just need to iron out a few kinks and polish things up.
