About Me

Split Screen started back in August 2017 between myself and my identical twin brother. A shared passion for Star Wars and a love for gaming drove us to start streaming Star Wars Battlefront 2015 on YouTube. As of Spring 2018 it’s been a solo journey for me, Mark, with my brother stepping away to focus on other things.

I’ve not looked back since, becoming monetised on YouTube in February 2019, joining the EA Game Changer program (Now EA Creator Network) in September 2020, making tons of friends online and meeting up in person over the years, collaborating with other creators and publishers on their Star Wars games.

I’ve been obsessed with Star Wars since I was at least 4 years old, some of my earliest memories include going to buy Anakin’s Lego ETA-2 Jedi Interceptor, finding lightsaber puzzles inside cereal boxes and sitting on the sofa to watch Revenge of the Sith for the first time. I’ll never forget the day when my brother and I finished what was likely our 5th watch through of the year and asking our mum if there would be any more Star Wars films made, to which she replied with a simple “It’s not likely”. This left little 7-8 year old me (& my brother) very disappointed.

The news of the Disney acquisition in 2013 was very exciting to me, it opened up endless possibilities for the franchise and here we are today with new films, live action tv shows, more animation, video games and much more. I know the Disney content often tends to be divisive, but the 4 year old Mark is living his dream every day with so much Star Wars to continue obsessing over.
