About TJStats
Baseball analysis powered by data
Who We Are
TJStats is a baseball analytics platform created by Thomas Nestico. What started as a passion for understanding baseball through numbers has grown into a comprehensive suite of tools, models, and interactive apps covering Major League Baseball through the minor leagues.
Our mission is simple: make advanced baseball data accessible, visual, and useful—whether you’re a fantasy player, a scout, an analyst, or just a fan who wants to go deeper.
What We Do
Every day during the season, TJStats automatically processes pitch-level data from every MLB and MiLB game. We build on top of that data with proprietary models and analysis:
- Player Pages — Detailed pitcher and batter profiles with pitch breakdowns, usage charts, tjStuff+ grades, and advanced metrics—updated daily for MLB and MiLB.
- Prospect Coverage — Annual Top 100 Prospect rankings with scouting reports, interactive prospect cards, and minor league data all the way down to Low-A.
- Articles & Analysis — In-depth breakdowns covering MLB and prospects, from breakout picks to Spring Training scouting reports.
Apps & Tools
We build free interactive tools so fans can explore the data themselves — themselves:
Data & Methodology
TJStats processes data from the MLB Stats API across all professional levels—from MLB down to Low-A. Our automated daily pipeline collects every pitch from every game, applies our proprietary models, and publishes updated stats and player pages within hours of game completion.
