With reproductive rights on the line nationally, now is the time for states like ours to expand access to abortion. HB320 will expand access by allowing qualified Advanced Practice Clinicians (ACPs) to provide abortion care. It’s a good bill—but it could be made stronger. 🧵

Choosing to allow LLCs the right to vote is choosing to dilute the power of the people — disregard for the fundamental right on which our civil liberties rest. Seaford residents’ right to make decisions about their community must be protected. Glad to see this bill voted down.

BREAKING: The Delaware House has voted down a bill that would have allowed LLCs to vote in elections in the city of Seaford. The legislation fell far short of the two-thirds majority required to change the charter. For more on the bill, read our thread from earlier:

#OTD 98 years ago, Delaware's GA gathered in a special session to vote on ratification of the 19th Amendment. These DE women led the yellow roses in Dover that day, standing tall in the face of opposition and, ultimately, defeat in the First State. Nevertheless, they persisted.
