Sweden will send military aid to Ukraine 🇺🇦. It includes 5,000 anti-tank weapons, 5,000 helmets, 5,000 body shields and 135,000 field rations. It also includes 500 million SEK to the Ukrainian Armed Forces🇺🇦. The total support is almost 1,4 billion SEK.

Just signed a historic indication letter to #NATO Secretary General @jensstoltenberg from the Swedish Government 🇸🇪. Our NATO application is now formally signed.

Sweden will send anti-ship missiles, anti-tank weapons and 12.7 mm rifles including ammunition to 🇺🇦. This 4th support package also includes financial contribution to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Total amount includes more than 95 million euros. Russia’s war against 🇺🇦 must stop!

Today Sweden announced that we plan to increase our military spending to 2 % of our GDP. Since 2014 and up to 2025, 🇸🇪 has already increased military spending by 85%.

Today the Swedish Social Democratic Party took a historic decision to say yes to apply for a membership in the NATO defence alliance. The Russian invasion of Ukraine has deteriorated the security situation for Sweden and Europe as a whole.
