You may not know this, but besides whining about Overwatch I'm also a phd student! I'm studying heart disease using tissue engineering models - here's an example of a beating tissue I made using human cells. It's tiny, less than 1mm thick.
Esp in OW1. Both heroes:
-hard to use, seen as cheesy by people who don't play them
-have stunning visual design
-unique gameplay
But some people want to ego for no reason. I think Sym and Doom are the only heroes who need a buff currently, and nerf the OP performers
It gives context to your comment, it's understandable that you struggle against the 30dps turrets if you're not that great. If you're above average though there's no excuse, git gud. It's unfortunate that Doom mains don't often see how much they have in common with Sym mains...

If a support is meant to favoured in a fight vs a dps, what is the point of a dps hero? Support mains can be such spoiled pissbabies it's crazy. The only reason we even still use DPS heroes is because of 1-2-2 role lock. Otherwise you'd rather have kiriko/bap than dps heroes

Shouldn't balance be done top-down? Is this why you kept Sojourn OP and Doomfist/Sym weak? When you balance for lower ranks you're taking data from players for whom balance is largely irrelevant and making the game less healthy.
