RDHS 2014-2015 showed that 29 % of households use an unimproved facility, with the majority 24 % using a pit latrine without a slab or an open pit and 3% have No facilities they use bush/fields.

#FVA encourages women to participate in community leadership structures from village to district level. Taking up strategies that enable them to significantly participate in the decision making structures.

#FVA in partnership with @WVRwanda through #COREProject funded by @Sida today has distributed tool kits to 34 #Vsla presidents in Kanjongo sector of @Nyamasheke This will help them to better record their savings and also crease their house hold income.

Yesterday #FVA through #Twiceceka project in partnership with WFWI funded by @USAIDRwanda trained 15 teen mothers about #GBV & SRHR in kicukiro district kigarama sector to increase on their knowledge about GBV&SRHR &how they can prevent unwanted pregnancies with in the community

#FVA through @USAIDRwanda #GikuriroProgram established Giant score boards around the communities in public spaces in @KayonzaDistrict as SBCC tools to foster increased community awareness&participation in nutrition&WASH positive behaviors.

This is one of 15 water springs rehabilitated&protected by #FVA through #GikuriroProgram An estimation of 323 Households according to local leaders will be fetching water. It will reduce contaminants faced while collecting water in stagnant condition.

During the 4years in @KayonzaDistrict #FVA through @USAIDRwanda #GikuriroProgram has reached more than 38000 HHs through health clubs and has constructed 13 water Kiosks, 8 boreholes and rehabilitated 15 water springs.
