So I now know the average difference that cutting VAT will make is 拢45 a year. Given that on July 1st the price of energy went up on average by 拢18 a month this is just a drop in the ocean that will make very little difference. Makes for good politics though.
People tell me they sometimes struggle to scrape together 拢10 to put on the key meter so if removing VAT makes a difference I'm all for it.
