My biggest pet peeve...”He can’t play he’s a D3 guy”. Go watch Danny Cody from @BWUBaseball throw 97, Will Krushena from @DU_Baseball hit, or watch Ben Beachy from @OUCardsBaseball play SS. D3 baseball in Ohio is Goooooooood

Huge part of hitting is knowing it all equals itself out. You go three for three ...you’re not going to hit .800. Go 0 for three doesn’t mean you’re going to hit .100. Be the best you can on that day and mentally accept the highs and lows and that’s when you grow as a hitter.

Be Where Your Feet Are Goals are important but don’t let them get in the way of making the most out of the present. Playing for your High School/representing your community is an opportunity you only get once.

Be A Good Teammate/ No One Cares In 10 years People remember the person you were not they player. It’s 10 yrs since my last college season… I’ve been in weddings / seen kids born. Never once has a batting avg or all league honors been brought up.

Player rankings are a tool to help college coaches. Tonight (NFL Draft) players will go above and below their “ranking” in the draft based on team need and what teams value. Your ranking doesn’t define you/you future destination. Coming from someone who does rankings 👍🏻

Uncommitted or Committed. Whether it’s the step or the next step. Playing for / representing your community is something you only get to do once. Be where your feet are and soak it in. Can’t wait to watch High School baseball!

The Weight Room Is Your 🎟 To Early Playing Time No matter where you end up. Odds are you had a similar skill set in HS to the older guys on campus. They also have 1-3 years of working with your pitching/hitting coach. If you’re not physically ready you have no chance.
