We mourn the loss of U.S. service members killed in recent attacks by Iran. This tragedy is a heartbreaking reminder of the cost of continued escalation. We continue to urge an immediate diplomatic end to the conflict before more American lives are lost.

CVA applauds the House’s passage of the Iran War Powers Resolution, H. Con. Res. 89. Our Constitution is clear: Congress alone has the power to authorize war. Legislators must act to reclaim this responsibility. We urge the Senate to swiftly follow suit.

The transition from active duty to civilian life is hard enough. When your service ends sooner than planned, the last thing you need is bureaucratic hurdles between you and the care you’ve earned. The Take Care of America’s Veterans Act would fix that.

The Take Care of America’s Veterans Act isn’t dead in the House yet. Veterans deserve expanded telehealth, suicide prevention, and improved access to health care, and another vote on the bill can deliver that.
