To be honest the reason I don't engage much in Splatoon related debates/controversy is because it feels like our community has a really hard time treating other well-meaning folks with civility sometimes, and it worries me that one day my words will be misinterpreted 1/2
Did you know: you don't need to reply "who?" every time splat safety bans someone you dont know about- it means the system isn't based on clout (yes, this is a good thing 🙃)
We have decided on
- a lifetime ban against Juicy on repeated Code of Conduct violations of Level 3
- an indefinite ban w/ appeal option after 5 years against Yann/Yanpie on repeated CoC violations of Level 2
- a 20-month ban against Slash on CoC violations of Level 3
Removing liberty and choice from victims is absolutely foul and disgusting behavior. If you post vulnerable screens and or act on their behalf with no consent, you have absolutely no place in our community and actively contribute to an unsafe environment.
Honestly just your weekly reminder that it's near impossible for any given TO to have selfish intentions in this community knowing we pretty much all work for free and get disrespected/harassed for doing what the comp scene literally requires to function.
Now that the dust has settled around LTC- time for a brief sign off on this event for me. Gonna maybe be a bit sappy, but I'd appreciate if you read if you have a minute. 🧵?
