Delighted that the Dublin Airport Passenger Cap Act 2026 has passed into law.
This Act recognises the strategic importance of the airport as our primary international gateway and delivers on the Programme for Government commitment to address the passenger cap planning condition
I plan to commence the relevant provisions of the Act to enable An Coimisún Pleanála to undertake the necessary environmental assessments and am committed to ensuring the environmental assessments are completed within the strict timelines set out in the Act.
Today, 🇮🇪 Minister @DarraghOBrienTD together with partners from Tuvalu 🇹🇻 and the Marshall Islands 🇲🇭, hosted a panel discussion on Clean Energy Transition 💡🌏
An important opportunity to exchange island perspectives on how governments, institutions and civil society can work
Great to meet Mr. TSUJI Kiyoto, Japan’s State Minister of the Environment.
We discussed the forthcoming 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Ireland and Japan, our shared commitment to reducing plastic pollution and strengthening energy security.

We had a good discussion on #COP31, the strong economic and political partnership between Ireland and Canada, and the valuable lessons both countries can share on the energy transition. 🇮🇪🇨🇦
Great to see excellent progress on the new playing pitch at Malahide Community School. Delivered in partnership with @StSylvestersGaa Club and supported through Dublin Airport Authority funding, this facility will benefit students and the wider community for years to come
Honoured to speak at the UN on critical raw materials. Electrification and decarbonisation require a secure supply of CRMs, but security must go hand in hand with responsible, sustainable sourcing that respects people, communities and the environment.
Good news for Cork commuters. From 20 July, the 90 Minute Fare will be introduced across the Cork metropolitan area, bringing it in line with the integrated fare system. Child fares will also be reduced, making public transport more affordable.

A great outcome secured for the club and its future which was very important as we move MetroLink forward.

✅ Juvenile pitch at Balheary retained during MetroLink works
✅ Temporary adult pitch secured from Q1 2028.
✅ Floodlit all-weather pitch remains on track.

As we continue our journey to 2030, we must urgently accelerate implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Special Education remains a top priority for me. Delighted to see two new special classes approved for Pobalscoil Íosa, Malahide. We've added 48 special classes across Fingal in the past year, but we know more is needed and will keep working to deliver it.
